This 90-minute online session teaches practical AI foundations for finance professionals and a step-by-step approach to using Claude for core finance workflows. Participants learn how to structure prompts for forecasting and analysis, turn raw inputs into clear narratives, and validate Claude outputs before they reach leaders or stakeholders.
The session focuses on real finance use cases: building a clean forecast structure, stress-testing assumptions, drafting variance commentary, creating scenario summaries, and producing “CFO-ready” decision memos. We also cover limitations (hallucinations, missing context, math risks), pros/cons, and a simple verification checklist (tie-out, reasonableness, source checks). Ethical guardrails are embedded throughout: data minimisation, confidentiality, audit trail practices, and appropriate human accountability.
Why should you attend?
Fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD) is a line for marketing purposes.
If your finance team can’t produce a clear cash outlook and explain performance quickly, decisions get made on instinct, not evidence—and small errors become expensive. AI can increase speed, but unmanaged AI increases risk: wrong assumptions, fabricated “facts,” and compliance exposure. This course shows how to gain the productivity upside without losing control of numbers, judgment, or confidentiality.
